ARS MOVENDI Firenze dedicates special attention to every type of packaging that it is able to supply.
Even the soft packing is always carried out with all the necessary caution and using the most suitable and professional materials such as bubble wrap with. In addition, for better protection of the artwork before the contact with paper and depending on the type of object to be packed, TNT, tyvek, anti-acid tissue and siliconized paper are also used.
ARS MOVENDI Firenze uses every type of wooden box: from simple national and European movements and transports, to international shipments as well as museum and thermal crates.
Each case, whatever the type, is not built following standard models but is individually designed according to the work that it will have to accommodate.
In compliance with the highest safety standards, the cushioning materials between the case and the artwork designed to counteract internal movements are positioned in such a way that the softer material is towards the case and the stiffer one in contact with the artwork; all this because the material in contact with the artwork has to be able to distribute the applied forces over the entire object, while in the outermost layer the cushioning material must be soft enough to absorb any possible stress.
The case is always equipped with handles adapted to the weight it contains and always bears the international signs and symbols for proper handling and transport.
Upon request, it’s possible to apply anti-tilt labels, which generally contain a metal disc that comes out of its housing if the packaging is tipped over, or shockproof labels, consisting of a glass vial that will break or color if the case is subjected to a violent impact.
Additionally, the case can be waterproofed with water-based enamel and painted with retardant varnish; it can also be equipped with Art-Sorb or silicon salts to best maintain the humidity level, as well as data loggers to record shocks, humidity and temperature.
Special skid-mates shock absorbers can also be added to the case on request.
